Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DataFlows — including the workflow canvas, Applet builder, and any REST API endpoints exposed by your published Applets — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms apply to all users, including individuals accessing DataFlows under a free preview plan and teams using DataFlows under any future paid tier.

2. Your Account

You must register for an account to create Projects, build Workflows, and publish Applets. You may hold one account per person; operating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited.

You are responsible for providing accurate registration information and for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility. Notify us immediately at security@dataflows.example if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use DataFlows to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights, including privacy and intellectual property laws.
• Publish Applets or Workflows that process personal data without appropriate legal basis or user consent.
• Conduct automated abuse of the Applet REST API — including denial-of-service attacks, credential stuffing, or scraping at a volume that degrades service for other users.
• Infringe the intellectual property of others by incorporating protected content in Workflows or Applet outputs.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the DataFlows platform source code.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and to take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating accounts.

4. Subscription & Billing

DataFlows is currently available at no charge during its public preview period. Paid tiers with expanded Workflow execution limits, team collaboration features, and priority support may be introduced in the future. We will provide advance notice and require your explicit consent before charging any fees.

5. Intellectual Property

Your content. You retain all rights to the data you upload, the Workflows you design, and the Applets you publish. By using DataFlows you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that data solely to operate and improve the service on your behalf.

Our platform. The DataFlows name, logo, canvas interface, and underlying platform are owned by DataFlows and protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you.

6. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your Projects, Workflows, and Applets will be permanently removed in accordance with our data retention policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these terms or that continued access poses a risk to the platform or other users. Where legally required, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the violation.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

DataFlows is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Applet API responses will be available at any given time.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DataFlows and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising out of your use of or inability to use the service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. For material changes — such as alterations to billing terms or data rights — we will provide at least 14 days notice via email or an in-product notification before the changes take effect. Continued use of DataFlows after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
